Job Summary

House calls is looking for experienced foot care nurses ( LPN ) who are dedicated to providing quality care. We believe “We Bring our Heart to our client’s home” with the personalized care and excellent customer service that we offer. We are a client centered professional’s, providing education and care toward optimal foot health for our clients

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, care and advice for clients;
  • Care includes clipping nails, treating corns, calluses, ingrown nails and thickened nails;
  • Clients include the elderly, elderly with diabetes and other health issues; Suggest and provide preventative care plans
  • Educating the patient, the patient’s family, and any other support persons on care techniques
  • Provide assessment, care and advice for clients
  • Suggest and implement preventative care plans
  • Responsibility, time management and trustworthiness
  • Complete accurate documentation concerning client condition
  • All safety rules and safe work procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Communicate with nurse supervisor and Health Care team members regarding changes or concerns related to client
  • Documentation regarding client activities, progress, and treatment plans
  • Adhere to the policies to ensure client/family privacy and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, compassion, caring
  • Treat clients, team members and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.
  • Give guidance to client when taking care of feet at home
  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapport, trust, and ethical relationships with clients/families, client care providers and other health care professionals and providers
  • Give guidance to client when taking care of feet at clients home or in salon
  • Have tools sanitized and set up in a professional manner
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills
  • Reliable, with good time management skills

Qualifications

  • LPN certification
  • Advanced Foot Care Certification
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Knowledge of conditions affecting foot health, including diabetes
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening Required experience:
  • Class 5 drivers licence; Must have own vehicle
  • Recent Criminal Record Check or willingness to provide
